What you need to know before you vote

The midterm elections are quickly approaching. Election day is Nov. 6. Before you are able to vote, you must make sure you are registered. The last day to register in person or to send your registration form in the mail is Oct. 9.

If you are unsure whether you are registered, visit www.voterview.ar-nova.org and go to the registration info tab.

Registering in person

You can register at the DMV, public library, public assistance agency, military recruitment office, or at your local county clerk office. The Faulkner County Clerk is Margaret Darter, her contact information is listed below.

Registering by mail

To register by mail, you will need to fill out a form (linked below) and mail it to your local election office. You will need to provide either your driver’s license number or the last four digits of your Social Security number on the form. Go to the link below to either print the form or to request one by mail:

Changing your voter registration address

If you are registered to vote in a different county and need to change it, fill out the form at http://www.faulknercounty.org/votefaulkner.com/images/forms/Address_Change_Form.pdf

You will then send the form to the listed address or you can send a scanned version via email to [email protected]

Additional Info

To get information on candidates you can go to https://www.ballotready.org/ and type in your location. A more thorough guide on candidates will be published in the Log Cabin Democrat sometime in the coming weeks.  

If you have any questions you may visit the Dean of Students’ Office at the Student Health Center in Room 210. It is open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. They will be happy to assist you.
