News Brief: UCA Officer arrested for drunk driving

The Log Cabin Democrat reported Sept. 28 that UCAPD senior officer Jeremy P. Duplessis was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Duplessis, 30, was stopped by a Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office deputy at 11:34 p.m. Sept. 24.

The officer smelled alcohol, and Duplessis denied having drank any.

According to the Log Cabin Democrat, when the officer questioned Duplessis about the smell, he said it was probably coming from him. The Log Cabin Democrat reported that Duplessis passed a field sobriety test at the sheriff’s office, but failed the breathalyzer test with a 0.08.

Duplessis was cited Sept. 27 and released.
