All of them are outdoor activities. They’ll help you refresh, especially if you’re working in-doors all day!
#1 – Try a Paintball Session
When was the last time you tried shooting paint at others?
Was it a few weeks ago? Or probably never?
Whatever your answer is, paintball is a must-try recreational activity.
It’s an excellent way to get out of your head. Because you can’t worry about real-world obligations when you’re being shot by paintballs!
You get to be tactical, strategic, while engaging with your environment. And it’s thrilling too!
Plus, you get to do it with groups of friends and loved ones. So it’s an excellent social activity (if you don’t like gossip and banter).
#2 – Go Surfing
You need to live by a beach to try this.
And if you do, you’re in luck. Surfing is an excellent (but slightly difficult) recreational activity.
You get to enjoy the waters, and ride the waves while doing. Plus, it’s skill intensive too!
It’s just like riding a bike. Surfing is an activity that takes a while to learn. And that on its own is engaging!
It’s also more of a solitary activity. So if you’re not a fan of group recreation (like paintball), then this is a good alternative!
#3 – Visit a Theme Park
Sometimes, trying something childish is a good way to relax.
Visiting a theme park does that job well. You can go to a carnival, an arcade center, or whatever suits your tastes.
From there, you can try out games in an environment of animated and digital fun!
You see, it’s just like playing a video game. Only difference is, this is an activity you do outdoors!
And it’s much better than gaming in-doors too. Because outdoors, you get to disconnect a bit from the isolation of staring at a computer!
#4 – Try an Escape Room
A 4th option that few people know about – escape rooms are basically “creative mazes.”
You’re stuck in a series of rooms with puzzles around you. And you have to solve them to escape “in time.”
That is, you’re racing against a clock!
And don’t worry, there are no negative consequences to not escaping. It’s not a dangerous game…
But it is exhilarating. And it’s one you play with a team!
You can bring anywhere from 5 to 12 people to a single room.
That’s how vast escape room environments are. They fit large teams, and you’ve got to find a way out together!

#5 – Prepare for a Marathon
That’s another relaxing activity. But it’s more solitary than the previous options.
Also, it’s commitment intensive. It’s a good way to get your mind off work, where you have to focus on getting in-shape.
Plus, it’s healthy. A marathon is something you have to try once in your life!
