Does Vape Use Cause Addiction?

The day before, Kevin Burns, CEO of Juul Labs, the American leader in electronic cigarette manufacturing, suddenly announced his resignation. It is said that the reason for this decision is the increase in mortality in the United States through vaping. Like, the businessman thought about the harm from e-cigarettes and decided that he no longer wants to be involved.

Besides, Kevin Burns’ resignation statement states that Juul Labs will restrict product advertising and stop print and digital promotions in the US.

So, it is only logical to think – if a millionaire giant’s head is one day crossing his career with his hand, then he is sure that vaping is harmful.

E-cigarettes emerged as substitutes for the usual cigarette and entered the world market in the 2000s.

In 2014, the word “vape” became the most widely used and most popular in the world, displacing “selfie”. This is a testament to the frantic popularity of the best herb vaporizer (https://vapingdaily.com/vaporizers/), leaving instead a hazy cloud of “water” steam with a fruity aroma. “Vape (ing)” comes from the English “vape”, an electronic cigarette or a steam device. Within a few years of the spread of the globe, vaping has become a new subculture among young people who have begun to call themselves vaper.

Given that the e-cigarette is declared as having no nicotine and tar, it is often smoked not only in the streets but also in offices, movie theaters, and even in shopping malls. The e-cigarette is a portable electronic product and consists of an aromatic liquid cartridge coupled to an atomizer (evaporator) and a battery and has a button to switch on and on.

Crazy fashion for vapes is also caused by a worldwide advertising campaign. Yes, e-cigarettes were immediately claimed to be a harmless alternative to traditional tobacco smoking. Therefore, many consider the non-nicotine fluid to be completely safe.

There are many reasons why smokers want to quit smoking. They are concerned about their health; they do not like the smell and taste of tobacco; they are pushed off by too high a price. But all this is a consequence of smoking. None of these problems are related to nicotine or addiction. All this is a consequence of the fact that people buy cigarettes that are taxed many times, shove them into their mouth several times a day, and bring a cigarette lighter to them.

People who claim that vapers are “still addicted” do not just make a mistake; they do not understand the essence of the discussion. The reasons that encourage people to quit smoking have a practical nature: they are to strive to improve the quality of life. The argument regarding dependency is not rational but moral. And morality is a personal opinion. If anyone believes that nicotine consumption through dry vaporizer is immoral, this is only a personal opinion, and no one has the right to impose that opinion on others. Private opinions are not sufficient arguments against vaping.

Many vapers started using e-liquids with high nicotine content, then gradually lowered their fortress and often brought it down to zero, which again confirms the fact that nicotine does not cause addiction. Others continue to enjoy the stimulant effect of nicotine and do not try to reduce its dose. Any option is perfect because the essence of the transition to vaping is not to quit the sinful habit, but to quit smoking.

Scientists continue to conduct experiments and research on the vape industry. Theoretical and practical, involving participants and conducting chemical analyzes using the latest technologies, vaping is still a mystery to most.

Vaping does not cause the desire to smoke

One of the latest experiments on the impact of vaping on the development of smoking habits was the Virginia Commonwealth University study, which involved 3,757 first-year students who were asked to start vaping. The results are:

  • Only six students start smoking;
  • 20 students who started smoking switched to best herb vaporizer;
  • The rest of the participants did not smoke or smoke until the experiment began.

However, the US authorities continue to ignore such studies and do not reduce the amount, the amount of taxes, while, for example, in the UK for patients who want to quit, doctors are already beginning to prescribe e-cigarettes. It should be noted that the level of medicine in the United Kingdom is sufficiently advanced, exemplary, and, although the TDP Tobacco Directive has also become more stringent for e-cigarette sellers and buyers, medicine is actively interacting with the government and remains on the side of the vape industry.

Studies that study a person’s habit of smoking after trying an e-cigarette, if he has not smoked before, can be considered absurd. First, the purpose of creating an e-cigarette is an easy opportunity to quit smoking. Secondly, in a person who uses a nicotine-free liquid, nicotine dependence cannot appear in principle, and an e-cigarette will be used no more than as a hookah.

Other scientists say that initially, smokers are attracted to fillers of vapes with different pleasant tastes, but, of course, electronic cigarettes are a “direct way” to use nicotine. And especially teenagers, go to them. If adults buy weed vaporizer to try to quit smoking, then young people just start smoking with their help. Gadgets have appeared relatively recently, and therefore there is very little research that would talk about the long-lasting effects of their use. However, researchers have linked electronic cigarettes to the risk of cancer, heart disease, and lung disease. There are also concerns about synthetic fillers.
