The Bears won their first home game 26-24 over the University of Tennessee at Martin on Sept. 6 to even up their record to 1-1.
Key plays late in the game helped seal the victory for UCA including a fourth and 15 conversion as well as a game-ending interception by sophomore defensive back Bobby Watkins.
It was the first win Coach Campbell has received since being hired as head coach in December.
The Bears travel to Bozeman, Montana this Saturday to take on the No. 18/17 ranked Montana State University Bobcats.
The Bobcats have gotten off to a similar start, losing to Arkansas State University 37-10 in week one and beating Black Hills State 57-10.
Montana State’s offense has averaged 33.5 points per game through two games and are led by sophomore quarterback Dakota Prukop.
Prukop is leading the team in rushing with 223 yards on 29 carries and is the team’s leading passer, completing 28 of 42 passes for 344 yards and two touchdowns.
Through two games, UCA’s defense has given up 33 points per game and 523.5 yards per game.
