Police Report: March 9-11

The following information was taken from incident reports filed by officers at UCAPD. The reports are made available by university police after they are approved by a supervisor. That process takes a few days, which delays our report. This is a complete report of incidents filed for March 9-11.

March 9:

  • No reports filed.

March 10:

  • Student Hope Eleanor Gillham, 19, was cited for alcohol possession at about 2:43 a.m. when an officer found eight cans of Budweiser Rasberitas and an open bottle of Bird Dog Peach Whiskey in her SUV. A patrolling officer noticed Gillham had left her car unattended in a parking lot. Her interior lights were on and one of the doors was ajar.
  • Student Daniel Richard Steed, 22, reported a hit and run at about 6:55 p.m. at the North Overflow parking lot. Steed said his car’s rear bumper was struck sometime between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. The damage was estimated to be around $500.

March 11:

  • Student Lashawnda Deann Hill, 20, reported at about 1:40 a.m. that she was feeling ill. In Short/Denney, Hill said her nose had been bleeding for the past three days and had gotten worse, and she was feeling nauseous. She was transported to Conway Regional Medical Center.
  • Student Darrien Jaquan Daniels, 19, broke his leg during football practice at about 4:30 p.m. at Estes Stadium. He was transported to Conway Regional Medical Center.
