Police Report: March 12-13

The following information was taken from incident reports filed by officers at UCAPD. The reports are made available by university police after they are approved by a supervisor. That process takes a few days, which delays our report. This is a complete report of incidents filed for March 12-13.

March 12:

  • Student Pharis C. Graham, 22, reported a hit and run collision at 7:49 p.m. in the north overflow parking lot. Graham said an unknown car struck her parked Hyundai sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 7:49 p.m. The Hyundai had scratches around the driver’s side headlight. The damage was estimated at $250.

March 13:

  • Student Russell Lane was arrested for drunken driving when an officer pulled him over at 11:31 p.m. for going 13 miles more than the speed limit on Farris. Lane said he had come from Bears Den, where had three Long Island Teas. The officer gave Lane a sobriety test, which he failed. A breath test indicated Lane’s blood alcohol content was .07. Lane was cited for pubic intoxication and speeding.
