Neil deGrasse Tyson, the astrophysicist most known for demoting Pluto from planetary status, came to UCA recently for a “science talk.” He has a bachelor’s degree in physics and a doctorate in astrophysics, and has worked under both Bush administrations. Tyson is best known for taking difficult scientific topics and making them easier for the general public to understand.
I sat down with him on Feb. 27 to ask him a few questions about his visit here, as well as some questions gathered from university students and faculty. We also touched briefly on his new show, “Cosmos,” which premiered on FOX this past Sunday.
