According to Jerry Biebesheimer, UCA’s director of public appearances, Gunn probably will speak about his life, his career in the fashion industry and his newly-released book “Tim Gunn’s Fashion Bible: The Fascinating History of Everything in Your Closet.”
Gunn is a co-host of the Emmy-nominated reality fashion show “Project Runway,” on which he has become known for his phrase, “Make it work.” He is also the host of the Bravo reality show “Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style.”
Gunn has appeared on a number of other television shows, including “Ugly Betty,” “American Dad!,” “Gossip Girl” and the landmark 100th episode of “How I Met Your Mother.” He played minor roles in “Sex and the City 2” and “The Smurfs.”
Gunn is an outspoken animal rights activist and writer. He has written “Tim Gunn: A Guide to Quality, Taste & Style,” and “Gunn’s Golden Rules: Life’s Little Lessons for Making It Work.”
Gunn will be selling copies of “Tim Gunn’s Fashion Bible: The Fascinating History of Everything in Your Closet” in the Reynolds lobby, and he will sign them in the Brewer-Hegemen Conference Center after the event.
Tickets are being sold online and at the Reynolds box office. Admission is $15 for adults, $5 for children, $5 for UCA faculty and staff and students receive two free tickets when they present their UCA ID.
