Seven Deadly Sins Season 4

Seven Deadly Sins is a popular Japanese anime show that has been growing in popularity since it’s season 1 release in August of 2014. The show averages 24 shows per season and follows an enticing plot fans can’t get enough of.

The main character of the show, Elizabeth, is a princess of the Kingdom of Liones. She sets out on a quest to find the Seven Deadly Sins. They are a group of former Holy Knights that disbanded after an overthrow of the kingdom.

Over the course of three seasons, Elizabeth’s journey has expanded as new characters and challenges have been introduced. In previous seasons, the show has begun to explore the past of each deadly sin.

Villains, like the Demon King, have been introduced. The Demon King is the Supreme Ruler of Purgatory and has the demon clan to do his bidding. Engaging battles keep loyal fans watching with anticipation.

Season 4 of Seven Deadly Sins is set up to be just as engaging. After the end of season 3 left us on the edge of our seats, every fan is looking for clues as to what will happen in the next installment.

With an expanding fanbase, the thirst for information on the new season is ever-growing. Keep reading for the most up to date information on returning characters, plot, release date, and where you can watch the trailer for season 4 of Seven Deadly Sins.

Who’s Coming Back?

With the way season 3 left off, we’re sure that most (if not all) of the major characters will be returning for season 4. Here’s a list of characters that we’re looking forward to seeing again:

  • Escanor and Meliodas
  • Merlin
  • Elizabeth
  • Hawk Ban
  • Gowther

Other characters that are set to return are:

  • Demon King
  • Drole Zeldris
  • Estarossa
  • Garnier
  • Garland

Will There be New Characters?

No new characters have been announced in detail, but they are expected. The producers are keeping these additions a surprise for now, and fans couldn’t be more excited!

What do We Know About the Plot?

Named Seven Deadly Sins: Anger’s Judgement, season four is expected to be the last installment for this highly popular anime by Nakaba Suzuki. The series has switched studios for the final season. Studio DEEN has picked it up from A-1 pictures.

While fans were hoping for better animation, there is no sign that the studio plans to alter the art style or quality. With this most likely being the final season, fans can expect the same animation they’re used to, whether they love it or hate it.

Not much has been revealed about the plot, yet. However, there is plenty of speculation to be had. Season 4 is expected to pick up exactly where season 3 left off. Episode one should reveal what happens after Zeldris used the Ten Commandments to help her capture Camelot.

It’s also almost certain that characters like Meliodas will continue to train and increase their strength for a face-off with the Seven Deadly Sins. Talk of another Holy War and the revival of the four archangels has been circulating.

More information on the origin of Escanor’s powers, as well as the past secrets of Merlin, are rumored to be revealed in the fourth season.

When is Season 4 Set for Release?

Since the first season was released in early October, that’s when we expect season 4 to come out. More precisely, we’re looking at an October 15th release date for 2020.

While a lot of shows are being delayed due to the coronavirus, the producers haven’t hinted at this possibility as of yet. That isn’t to say that we won’t be getting an announcement in the coming days, but let’s hope for the best.

We also know that season 4 will have 24 episodes. This doesn’t come as much of a surprise since all three previous seasons have had the same number. We were hoping for a slight uptick in content, but who can complain about 24 new episodes?

If you want to be one of the first to see the new episodes, make sure your subscription to Netflix is up-to-date or borrow one from a friend.

Where can I watch the Season 4 Trailer?

Unfortunately, no official trailer has been released for season 4 of Seven Deadly Sings. This is leaving fans everywhere curious about what all the next installment will explore.

Luckily, we do have a teaser trailer for the new season available. Its release has only served to further build anticipation for the show. It’s even creating a lot of buzz outside of the Seven Deadly Sins community and drawing in an expanded fan base.

Keeping with tradition, the release is confirmed to be available on Netflix. We are unsure as to whether or not season 4 will be streamable on Funimation as past seasons have been.
