Students who need to purchase a caps and gowns for May graduation can order them in the Bookstore March 7 and 8. Caps and gowns are $40 for bachelors, $70 for masters and $90 for doctorates.

Nursing Applications for fall 2012 nursing class admission are available online at uca.edu/nursing. The deadline to turn applications in is March 1.

The Percussion Ensemble will perform its first concert of the spring semester at 7:30 p.m.  Feb. 22 at the Snow Fine Arts Center Recital Hall. The concert will feature “Away Without Leave,”  “Second Construction,” and others.

Susan Eisenhower, granddaughter of President Dwight Eisenhower, will discuss his intervention in the 1957 Little Rock Central Crisis in a lecture Feb. 23. The lecture will begin at 11 a.m. in the College of Business Auditorium. It is free and open to the public. A screening of the 30-minute documentary film, “The Crisis Mr. Faubus Made: The Role of the Arkansas Gazette in the Central High Crisis,” will follow Eisenhower’s speech at 2 p.m. in the College of Business Auditorium. A panel discussion will follow from 2:30-4 p.m on Feb. 23

The Rev. Jesse Jackson will speak in Reynolds Performance Hall on Feb. 23. At 7:30 p.m. as part of the Log Cabin Democrat Lecture Series. Jackson is the president and founder of the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition. He holds a Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor, for his life as a civil rights activist. Tickets are free for students and $10 for adults and can be purchased at the box office.

“Our Town”, a play by Thornton Wilder, will be at 7:30 pm Feb. 15 to 17 in the Bridges/Larson Theatre in Snow Fine Arts Center. Our Town is a Pulitzer Prize winning drama. Admission is free to students and $10 for the general public.
